The Department of Wild Salmon will run a website with a running commentary on the salmon, the projects, fish health data and needs throughout British Columbia. When the Department of Wild Salmon is contacted by people who want to help they will be directed to the group/s in their area so that local groups can be sustained by local businesses and individuals. If someone needs help beyond the local sphere a call out can be done to contact everyone. In this way we are only as strong as the local groups.
This effort is about building self-sustaining populations of salmon. To get involved as a researcher or volunteer, contact:
